RES Information Dissemination Campaign for Europe (RES info Europe)
Project description
The lack of appropriate information on renewable energy sources and its effective dissemination is still one of the major barriers towards increased use of renewable energy sources. There are already many initiatives on regional, national as well as EU level to spread information on renewable energy sources to various target groups, but unfortunately, limited use is being made of synergies.
The concerted development and implementation of the proposed project encompassing RES information dissemination ensures campaign maximum output of Community funding as well as maximum use of synergies.
The following activities have been carried out:
- RES Industry conferences
- Conference “RES for Islands, Tourism & Water Desalination” (26-28 May 2003, Crete, Greece)
- Professional tutorials on RES topics: 1) Off-shore wind; 2) Solar buildings
- Development of information tools on renewable energy sources
