Euro-Caribbean RES Forum

Project Description

The Euro-Caribbean RES Forum has been conceived as an information and coordination node for the joint promotion of RES and RUE in the Caribbean islands.

From a practical point of view, it is a European window for the support of the energy sustainability strategy in the Caribbean islands, making co-operation easier between the different European island experiences and linking the European industry of renewables with the financing programmes and initiatives for Renewable Energy projects within the region.

Within this project, a conference was organised in St. Lucia on 30-31 May 2002 in the framework of which a Memorandum of Understanding for further collaboration was signed.

Project Duration

12 months (1st June 2001 – 31st May 2002)
