European RE Islands

Project description

European RE- Islands (European Renewable Energy Islands) was a project within the context of the ALTENER programme, a community initiative focusing on the promotion of renewable energy sources. The project was led by Miljų Media, an independent company based in Samsų, Denmark, specialized in the production of TV and video programmes in the environment and sustainable development fields.

The project's objective was to increase the commitment of European citizens to the development of energy sustainable communities.

Main Project Deliverables

  • A comprehensive brochure on the integration of RES in Samsų, Sicily, Sardinia, Gotland, Crete and the Canary Islands
  • a DVD (50-minutes) with examples of best practice from participating islands and renewable energy (Samsų, Sicily, Sardinia, Gotland, Crete and the Canary Islands)! Please contact EREC or ISLENET to order a free copy of the DVD
