RES National Policy Reviews

 

For a detailed description of the current situation of Renewable Energy Sources at national level in the 27 EU Member States as well as for an overview of the current and planned support schemes up until 2020, please take a look at the National Renewable Energy Action Plans on the European Commission’s Transparency Platform.

To get to know the vision of the National Renewable Energy Industry’s Associations on RES developments until 2020, please have a look at the National Industry Roadmaps, published in the framework of the REPAP 2020 project.

The Policy Reviews below, prepared by EREC in March 2009 contain a  detailed description of the RES policy framework in each EU Member States in the electricity, as well as heating and cooling and transport markets. They also provide some more general information on RES market development in each country.

These RES Policy Reviews were elaborated under the RES 2020 project co-financed by the IEE programme of the European Commission and are life documents and will be continuously updated.

As mentioned above, EREC is currently involved in the REPAP 2020 project, Renewable Energy Policy Action Paving the Way for 2020, which started in April 2009 and aims to facilitate the process of implementation of the RES-Directive, on a national level.
