Inauguration of the Renewable Energy House
On 22nd March 2006, the Renewable Energy House hosting for the first time all major European renewable energy industry, trade and research associations was inaugurated by HRH Prince Laurent of Belgium, Prime Minister Guy Verhofstadt, Commission President José Manuel Barroso and Commissioners Stavros Dimas and Margot Wallström as well as Prof. Arthouros Zervos, President of the European Renewable Energy Council.
More than 250 high-level decision makers had followed the invitation to the Renewable Energy House inauguration, which showed that renewables are rapidly gaining importance in Europe.
The Inauguration ceremony on 22 March 2006 was preceded by a Press Conference and a Workshop.
